It is been a while I wrote a blog, and the current situation
of the world made me do so. Here comes my blog on our very famous, very much
talked about, NOVEL CORONA VIRUS, i.e. COVID-19 type of RNA virus. Now, all of
us know what is this all about, from where it came, how was its spread, how
dangerous and fatal it is, its symptoms, etc! So, don’t worry, I will not be
giving you information that you already know.
Being a homoeopath, we see how can we boost our vitality, immunity or the resistance power to fight against any kind of infections, disorders or diseases; and so the topic of today. Following are some of the simple steps you can practice to boost your immune mechanism and stay safe while at home, QUARANTINED!

Following are some of the simple steps you can practice to boost your immune mechanism and stay safe while at home, QUARANTINED!
1.
DRINK
PLENTY OF WATER
Water is something that has many elements
that boost up our resistance against any bacteria / viruses/ fungus. There is
no dehydration if you drink ample amount of water and thus keeping your anatomy
and physiology of the body intact. Minimum of 4 litres for adults and 2 litres
to children up to 12 years is the desired amount of water we should be
drinking.
2.
EAT
WARM AND FRESH FOOD ONLY
Eating stale or left over food can be
harmful and many biological reactions take place after the food is cooked till
it is eaten. It is adviced to eat warm or hot food as much as you can. Try to
prepare the food and eat it within 3-4 hours of cooking. Try to avoid eating
morning left over food in the evening or vice verysa! This change will lead to
two things, we may get a habit of eating totally fresh food always and
secondly, there will be no wastage of food if we manage to cook exact food
required!
3.
PRACTICE
HOME STERILIZATION
Along with social distancing, wearing masks, washing hands, we can
practice a DIY home sterilization technique that may help to kill all unwanted
viruses and bacteria in air at our homes and surroundings.
We can put a single dhup (small black smoke or essence stick) along with
a small piece of camphor, some essential oil on it and few grains of ova
(caraway) on it, and burn it in any corner of your house. If you have any
bronchitis or asthmatic patients at home, try keeping them away for a while,
while you finish this process.
4.
IMMUNITY
BOOST UP DRINKS
There are some drinks made from the
ingredients easily available in our kitchen which we can intake for this
pandemic stage! You can choose any one or try all one by one everyday.
1.
Little bit ginger + Cardamom powder + 1 cup
water = Boil from 1 cup to ½ cup. Have
this once in a day.
2.
2 pinch Turmeric + 2 cloves + 2 pepper grains +
1 cup water = Boil from 1 cup to ½ cup, add 1 tb spoon of honey in this mix and
have it once in a day.
3.
½ lemon in 1 cup warm water along with honey is
another metabolism and immunity booster
4.
Have one vegetable juice once in a week, it can
be carrot juice, spinach or a beetroot juice.
There are many other ways to keep up your immunity, but if
we can at least practice these little things, we can get away from the ill that
has taken place all over the world. Don’t get panic, but be cautious.
Sanitization, Social distancing, maintaning basic hygiene, control our diets
and to avoid any crowded place is all we can do from our side. Many of our
medical and para medical fellow brothers and sisters are striving for our
safety at hospitals all over the world and in our country as well. I think it
is our sole responsibility to help them in this way by being at home and
staying safe. THEY HAVE STAYED AT WORK FOR US, LETS STAY AT HOME FOR THEM Being
a doctor myself, I request you all to immediately report to your nearest doctor
for any discomfort in your health and do not be negligent about the same. Also,
you can ask your nearest homoepath for immunity boost up homoeopathic
medicines. STAY HOME, STAY SAFE!
